Heights Community Church is an independent community of believers uniting to worship our Lord, Jesus Christ.  A leadership team from Community Bible Church joined with Pastor Ken Hicks to form Heights Community Church.

In November of 2009, Heights Community Church (HeightsCC) started services in the Christian Life Center owned by Alamo Heights United Methodist Church(AHUMC); we sometimes use the Sanctuary or the Garden Chapel if there are conflicts with the Christian Life Center. We are thankful to be able to use both the worship facilities and the child care facilities . Special Thanks to Alamo Heights United Methodist Church for their generosity and hospitality.

Heights Community Church has a passion for families growing in the Word, sharing the message of Christ, and Serving in the name of Jesus all over our city.
 
We're a brand new community, gathering together in the name of Christ, with a passion for not only reaching our community with the message of Jesus, but to allow families to become fully devoted followers of Christ. Having served on several church staffs, most recently at one of the largest churches in America, God began to plant a dream in my life.

Pastor Ken Hicks served on staff under Pastor Robert Emmitt of Community Bible Church for 5 years; Pastor Ken had the opportunity to preached at CBC when Pastor Emmitt away from the pulpit.  We are so grateful to Pastor Emmitt, and CBC, for their encouragement and financially support of Heights Community Church during our first three or four months.  Pastor Ken sold his home, moved his family into Alamo Heights, changed schools for the kids, changed work locations for his wife, and has now begun a new Church.  What a ride ... and it's almost hard to believe how sweet it is!!
